Regional data from 2020 to 2023 showed an almost 86% rise in the number of community paediatric 'waiters' in NI. As in other nations, we used data from FOIs and member insights, and our recommendation themes include strategic models of care and neurodiversity.
In September 2024, we published our 'blueprint', calling on the UK government to commit to restoring all child health services. Focused on England, this set the case for fair funding, a sustainable workforce and data and digital innovation.
We published briefings on each of the three proposed shifts in the 10 Year Health Plan for the NHS in England, including 'from hospital to community'. To work well for children and families, this needs investment and focus.
